Happy Summer Holidays with this colorful treat! These fruit crostinis will be a healthy and colorful treat for kids! Crostini means”little crusts” in Italian, consisting of toasted small pieces of bread with different toppings!
As summer vacation is here and we have to deal with tiny tots who is always hungry, here I’m sharing some easy and delightful recipes that we can enjoy with them! This mini crunchy breads with fresh fruit toppings is refreshing i must say!
Here I used three different toppings with mango and cherry, fig and blueberry with cheese, apple &strawberries! A great appetizer if you are planning for a kid’s party! for this, you will not need any fancy breads or such, i used regular mini buns and cut it diagonally! So enjoy your summer vacation with your kid’s fav treats!
Ingredients
- Mini Buns
- Butter
- Some sugar or brown sugar to sprinkle on top of the bread
Slice the buns diagonally, spread the butter and sprinkle brown sugar bake it at @180 degrees preheated oven for 10 minutes.
For Spread
- Thick cream or fresh cream
- powdered sugar to taste
- 1 tsp vanilla
Mix well
For 1st Topping
- Sweet mango chopped
- slice cherries or grapes
- Chopped basil leaves or mint
- honey to taste
Mix it all
Once the bread is baked spread the cream and add the mixed mango cherry topping, serve it fresh
For 2nd Topping
- Cream cheese spread or cube to spread on the bread
- Sliced fresh figs
- Some blueberries
- A tsp of brown sugar (just toss all)
Spread then cream cheese on the baked bread and top it with mixed fig
3rd Topping
- Some melted chocolate
- finely chopped apple, strawberry, and kiwi mix it with some sugar and a little lemon juice
Spread the sweet cream, pipe some melted chocolate and then top it with apple mix
