A crispy and spicy kebabs with flavour of prawns!It’s simple and delicious appetizer with the things always in handy.During Ramadan we always hunt for new recipes as we want something to munch on while breaking fast.I wish to simplify it for you!
I got idea of this kebab from a magazine.But i totally changed the recipe and here is a tasty simple snack for you.
Here semolina is cooked and reduced with milk and for the flavouring some spicy prawn masala.When it’s cool enough give it cylindrical shape dip it in egg whites and bread crumbs and fry.
Ingredient
- 1/4 kg prawns
- Salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp soya sauce
- 1 cup semolina
- 1 & 1/2 cup milk
- 2 small onion
- 1 small capsicum
- 1 small carrot(optional)
- 1 tsp garlic
- 1 or2 green chilly
- 1 n 1/2 tsp pepper powder
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning(optl)
- Coriander leaves/Parsley
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp butter/oil
- Oil for frying
- 1 0r 2 egg whites for dipping
- Bread crumbs
Method
- Marinate prawns with salt pepper and soya sauce then in a pan pour 3 tsp oil and shallow fry it until done.
- In same pan add garlic,finely chopped onion,green chilly and cook in high flame for few seconds.Then add grated carrots and cook slightly.Then add chopped capsicum cook for few seconds (the idea is to retain the crunchiness of veggies ,so don’t overcook it).
- Add pepper and Italian seasoning,
- Add prawns and mix well.Add lots of parsley or coriander leaves and lemon juice. Filing is ready!
- In another pan roast semolina for few second add masala butter and mix well.(Check for seasoning and add)
- Put two cube cheese in this if you like .Pour milk in this and stir continuously until the moisture is completely dried up
- Let it cool and the give it a cylindrical shape dip it in egg whites and then in bread crumbs and deep fry it until golden brown.Serve it hot with ketchup.
Yummy delicious snack is ready to go!
