Spicy Potato Crepe with Mint Mayo Sauce
Spicy crepe filled with full of flavors! A great breakfast option to kick start your day! Spicy potato filling into the crepe batter and cooked to perfection! And that mint mayo sauce takes it to next level!
It’s an Indian version of crepe with beautiful flavors locked in it! I leave it for some time on the pan to make it slightly crisp! Have it hot with the mint mayo dip and some freshly chopped onion! If you like it spicier add more chilly powder or chilies into the batter.
This is a quick breakfast or brunch option if you have boiled potatoes in your hands! Enjoy it with your cup of tea or coffee to begin your day!
Ingredients
- 1 & 1/4cup all-purpose flour
- salt to taste
- 1 egg
- 3/4th cup milk
- 1 tbsp oil
- Enough water to make it a flowy batter(check video)
Mix the batter and keep it aside.
For the Filling
- 1 large potato boiled and mashed
- salt to taste
- 1 small onion chopped
- 2 cloves garlic chopped finely
- 3 green chilies chopped
- cilantro
- some red chilly flakes
- 1 tsp chilly powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- Some lime juice
Mix all these ingredients very well and dump them into the crepe batter. Add enough water to make it a flowing consistency batter. Preheat a pan and pour a spoon full of batter into the pan and rotate it evenly to the pan. Cover it with a lid and simmer the flame to medium. gently flip it and make it crisp!
For Mint Mayo sauce
- Few coriander leaves and mint leaves
- 3 green chilies
- salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1 heaped tbsp yogurt
Blend all these into a smooth paste
Then in a bowl add 2 tbsp mayo and mix this mint paste well with the mayo!
