Smash Burger Bake

1st recipe is Cheesy Smash Burger Bake!
Smash Burger Bake – straight out of the oven with that cheesy, gooey filling 🤤 Homemade smashed burger patty, sweet caramelized onions, all tucked into soft, fluffy buns!!

Ingredients

For Burger

400 gm boneless chicken
1 medium.onion
Cilantro
2 green chilies
Some cloves of garlic
1 tsp fennel seeds
1 tsp vinegar
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp chili powder
1 small egg for that juicy texture(opt)

Method

Add the boneless chicken, onion, cilantro, green chilies, garlic, fennel seeds, vinegar, soy sauce, chili powder, and egg (if using) into a food processor.
Pulse everything together until it turns into a smooth but slightly textured mince.

2️⃣ Shape
Transfer the mixture to a bowl.
Divide into equal portions and loosely shape into balls.
Chill for 20–30 minutes (this helps in easy smashing).

3️⃣ Smash & Cook
Heat a pan or griddle with a little oil.
Place one portion on the hot pan and immediately press it down with a spatula to form a thin patty.
Cook on medium-high for 3–4 minutes until golden and slightly crisp.
Flip and cook another 2–3 minutes until fully cooked through.

Caramelize the onion in the same pan and keep it aside.

For the sauce

Mayo
Mustard paste
Sriracha
Some paprika

Assembly & Baking
1️⃣ Shape the base
Take a medium-sized dough ball and roll it out as shown (slightly thick circle)
2️⃣ Layer it up
Spread a generous layer of the prepared burger sauce.
Add:
Cheese slice,
Smash chicken patty (I made it double 😋
Another slice of cheese
Some fresh veggies
Caramelized onions
Pickled jalapeños
A little more sauce on top. Bake it @ 200 degrees preheated oven for 15 minutes.

3️⃣ Seal & shape
Carefully bring the edges together, seal well, and shape it gently into a smooth bun.
Place seam side down on the tray.
Brush with butter immediately after baking for that soft, shiny top.
Enjoy it hot with that cheesy, gooey center
