Crumb Coated Chicken Bun

This cute mini bun is super cool, easy to make, and looks gorgeous! I love how it turned out so pretty and perfect! Baking is literally a therapy for me, it gives me immense joy and pleasure! This cute mini bun is coated in bread crumbs and baked to perfection leaving a crunchy crust to the bread!

Once the bread is baked cut open the bread and stuff it with your fav filling! With this dough i made 2 different types of bread and filling, which will be shared in the next post!

Ingredients For Bread

  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp yeast#
  • 2 to 3 tbsp oil
  • 1/4 cup water+1 cup lukewarm milk

  • Knead it to a soft and pliable dough (add enough water to make a soft dough)
  • Cover and place it in a warm place for proofing. Once the dough is doubled punch it down divide the dough into small equal balls.
  • Slightly roll it into the disk, egg wash, and dip it in the bread crumbs. Cover and leave it for proofing., Bake it @200 degrees preheated oven for 15 minutes.

NOTE: Don’t roll it to a thin disk. Give enough time for proofing!

For Coating

  • egg for egg wash
  • bread crumbs

For filling

  • Chicken marinated with ginger garlic paste, chilly powder, salt, lemon juice, garam masala and 1 tbsp yogurt. grill or shallow fry it and keep it aside.
  • sliced onion, tomato, cabbage, coriander leaves some salt, pepper and lemon juice mix it well and keep it aside.
  • Mix the veggies with the chicken and the filling is ready.

For the spread

  • 5 tbsp Mayo
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yoghurt(opt
  • 2 tbsp Sriracha hot sauce
  • chilly flakes(opt)

You may simply use the mayo here!

Mix well and keep it aside.

Cut open the bread from the center apply the spread, add the lettuce, and stuff it with the filling!
