
Creamy Chicken Potato Sticks

Today’s recipe is a delicious potato-based one that is so flavorful and stuffed with creamy rich chicken filling! You may add this to the family of cutlets or croquets, which will be a superhit recipe on your iftar table!

This is a fried recipe for such snack lovers! You all know I always concentrate on non-fried recipes so that you may enjoy them guilt-free! So here I included one more way of serving this creamy filling and potatoes which can be baked and enjoyed! Both of them taste different but too good!

Let’s jump into the recipe
For the Filling
- 400 gm boneless chicken
- 2 large onions
- salt and pepper to taste
- 11/2 tsp fennel seed powder
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp yogurt
- 1 tsp chilly powder and marinate the chicken
In a pan pour2 tbsp oil and shallow fry the chicken.
- 2 green chilies
- 3 to 4 cloves garlic
- 1 tbsp tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp tomato paste(opt)
- 2 large onions
- 1 small bell pepper(opt)
- 1 heaped tbsp apf
- 1/2 to 3/4th cup milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- In the same pan, once the chicken is done, melt the butter saute green chilies and garlic, simmer the flame, add the sauce and tomato paste, and saute for seconds.
- Then add the onion and salt, and cook until soft.
- Add the bell pepper and cook.(refer to my ig reel or youtube shots)
- Add flour and mix well then pour the milk and cook until it got a creamy consistency.
- Add the chicken and mix well. Add 1 tbsp cream cheese and mix well.
- Check the seasoning and add accordingly!
For the potato coating
- 4 large potatoes boiled with salt and mashed
- chilly flakes to taste
- garlic powder
- oregano
- some cilantro
- 1 tbsp apf
- 2 tbsp bread crumbs and mix well
For Coating
- Egg white or you may use apf slurry
- panko bread crumbs
- Apply some oil on your palm, take a lemon-sized ball of potato, stuff it, and shape it into a log by covering the filling! (refer video.
- Dip it in the apf slurry and coat it in bread crumbs, fry it in hot oil until golden brown and crisp!

For the Baked Version

- You will need a Bun, slice it from the center, and make a dent with the back of a glass.
- Apply some mayo or white sauce, and add the filling: some sliced potatoes, topped with sliced cheese, some bread crumbs, and chilly flakes. Bake it for 8 to 10 minutes at 200 degrees in a preheated oven!
