Bread Cutlet

An easy to make appetizers are always welcome right? Here is one such easy, tasty and crunchy treat! Bread cutlet is such an easy way of making cutlets with basic ingredients you have in your kitchen! The crumbled bread, some leftover filling, and some veggies make a perfect appetizer here!

I’m sure during Ramadan you may have one or other fillings stock in your refrigerator, Here i used my leftover kheema filling from sambousek! You may use any fillings like paneer, egg, or whatever you want! The coating here is extra crispy because of the kunafa dough used here along with bread crumbs! Don’t worry if you do no have it, you can use crushed thin vermicelli instead.

Ingredients

  • 5 to 6 slices of bread white or wheat
  • 1 medium-sized potato boiled and mashed(i cooked it in the microwave, it’s so easy that way)
  • 1 cup any of your fav filling
  • Green chilies
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • cilantro
  • Some cumin powder
  • 1 tsp chilly powder
  • Some chaat masala
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 0r 2 tbsp mayo check and add if it needs binding
  • 1/4th cup mozzarella cheese(optl)
  • salt to taste
  • small piece carrot grated
  • Pepper powder to taste

For coating and dipping

  1. 3 tbsp all-purpose flour mixed with water
  2. Some bread crumbs
  3. Kunafa dough or thin vermicelli crushed in a mixer

Method

  1. Crumble the bread slices
  2. Dump it in a bowl and then add all other ingredients and mix well.
  3. Here you can use any of your fav filling like paneer, egg, chicken, beef, I used my kheema filling which is leftover from sambousek
  4. Mix all the ingredients until everything blend together.
  5. Make rondles out of it.

For coating

  1. Mix all-purpose flour with water. Not too thick, pouring consistency
  2. Mix bread crumbs and kunafa dough, add some cilantro and pepper,(this coating make it so crispy and delicious)
  3. Dip it in the flour mix coat in bread crumbs and fry it until golden brown and crisp.
